Redesign of Scuba Diving Website

Ever wondered what is was like to swim with the fish in the deep blue ocean?

Well, this company wants you to understand their passion and how you can join them at the bottom of those sandy floors or swim along the corral reefs. The team and scuba diving experts want everyone to enjoy the pleasures of diving and understand the beauty of what it is the wonders of scuba diving around Poseidon’s world.

Project Summary

The website in question is a scuba diving-themed website that provides information on diving locations, gear, and training. The website is aimed at both new and experienced divers. However, the website’s current design is dated and does not provide the best user experience. The website’s owners have recognized this and have decided to conduct a redesign of the website’s user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).

The Diving resort presents unique challenges compared to marketing products or events in more typical vacation destinations. Identifying the target audience, or market segment is relatively obvious Divers. However, within the segment, there are divers in every imaginable category, from beginning reef explorers to gas-switch, accelerated decompression divers, underwater photographers, ecologists, students, families and countless others pursuing very different aquatic interests and goals

The Problem

The objective of the redesign is to improve the overall user experience of the website by making it more visually appealing, easy to navigate, and informative. The redesign should also increase the website’s conversion rate by making it easier for users to find and book diving trips and courses.

Design Process
  • User research: To conducted user research to understand the needs and goals of the website’s target audience. The research methods included surveys, user interviews, and usability testing.
  • Information architecture: Then use the information gathered from the user research to create a new website structure that is easy to navigate and presents information in a logical and organized way.
  • Wireframing and prototyping: Creat wireframes and prototypes of the new website design to test its usability and gather feedback from users.
  • Visual design: The visual design of the website was updated to make it more modern and visually appealing.
  • Development: The website was then developed and implemented using responsive design to ensure that it is accessible on all devices
