Cat Cafe logo design and branding

Client: Kitty Kingdom

Kitty Kingdom is a new cat café that serves coffee, tea, and other refreshments in the company of furry felines. The owners of Kitty Kingdom wanted a logo that would represent their love and affection for cats, as well as the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the café. They wanted the logo to appeal to cat lovers and coffee aficionados alike, and to be easily recognizable and memorable.

Research and Analysis

The first step in the logo design process was to research the cat café industry and gather inspiration from other logos in the same market. The designer also met with the owners of Kitty Kingdom to get a better understanding of their vision for the café and the image they wanted to convey with the logo.

Sketching and Ideation

Based on the research and discussions with the client, the designer created several rough sketches of different logo concepts. Some of the concepts featured cats, coffee cups, and other elements that symbolize the café. The designer presented these sketches to the client for feedback, and together they narrowed down the options to three final concepts.

Refinement and Finalization

The final three concepts were refined and polished, with the focus on creating a clean, simple, and memorable design. The client chose the winning design, which featured a stylized illustration of a cat’s head and tail, forming a heart shape. The cat’s face was depicted with a happy expression, and the heart shape symbolized the love and warmth of the café. The wordmark “Kitty Kingdom” was placed under the illustration, using a clean and modern font.

Color Selection

The designer worked with the client to select the color palette for the logo. They chose a soft shade of pink, which conveyed warmth and playfulness, and paired it with a neutral gray to balance the design and make it more versatile.

Final Deliverables

The final deliverables included the logo in different file formats, such as vector and raster, for use in various mediums, such as websites, business cards, and signage. The designer also provided guidelines for the proper usage of the logo to ensure consistency in future applications.

Outcome

The final logo design for Kitty Kingdom received positive feedback from the client and was well received by their target audience. The clean, simple, and memorable design effectively conveyed the love and affection the café had for cats, as well as the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the café.
