This was a figure of style. By taking Santiago Calatravas architectural work and transforming it into a logo to promote an event with posters and banners.
Santiago Calatrava is a Spanish architect, structural engineer, sculptor and painter, particularly known for his bridges supported by single leaning pylons, and his railway stations, stadiums, and museums, whose sculptural forms often resemble living organisms. This project was to create an identity and use this identity to create posters, transit shelter ads, and exterior banners.
Calatrava is a world-renowned architect and I chose one of his building’s to create his identity logo, by using the Milwaukee art museum, I started by studying the design and sketching ideas. I then moved on toIllustrator to find a shape and form that would be abstract but still recognizable.
After considering various design directions, it became clear early that the logo should be abstract by nature but at the same time could be recognized.
